Each week there will be 1-2 course specific excursions Activities typically include museums, cultural sites, historical monuments, and local organizations relevant to the courses.

Every weekend, AHA sponsors an excursion for all ESOL study abroad students. Destinations and activities vary each year. Some excursions in the past included...

For those of you who plan on doing things outside of the program, here are a few ideas of place you can visit...
- Buenos Aires- The capital of Argentina has so much to offer. Some great places to visit in BA are Casa Rosada, Cementerio de Recoleta, San Telmo, La Boca, and Puerto Madero.
- Cordoba- The second largest city after Buenos Aires is known for its historical buildings but also has a modern side to it. There are many outdoor activities to do there as well as cultural sights.
- Mendoza- Located in the foothills of the Andes Mountain Range, Mendoza is known for its wine. The wine route is an ancient but renovated attraction that many people come to visit to sample some of the best wine in the world.
- Iguazu Falls- The national park has one of the biggest attractions in the world. The biggest attraction in the park is its falls but it is also known to house many endangered species. There are many outdoor activities available in the province of Missiones such as hiking and zip lining.
- Uruguay- Visit the capital of Montevideo for the perfect relaxing weekend trip. You get a lot for your money and be sure to visit the fountain of love. Puente del Este is one of the most popular vacation spots. It is a couple hours away from Montevideo and don't forget to stop to see Monumento los Dedos.
